This is an album of slides taken by Major Cecil B. White, 15th Field Artillery, 2nd Division, US Army, in 1950-'51. The 15th landed at Busan at the very start of the Korean War, and Maj. White was the XO of this unit during it's first combat actions against the NK Army. This first set of photos is historically significant-they are images of the 15th in very early operations at the start of the war, in July and August, as the UN forces were being pushed back into The Pusan Perimeter. Later sets of his slides are from October and November 1950, The HoengSong Massacre of early 1951, and a group of slides from April 1951. There are also slides of leave in Japan, and others.

korea 1977 This is a group of slides taken in Korea during July and August of 1977. I know nothing else about them-there were no notes on the slides. They came from ebay, and the seller knew nothing about them,either. I think many of them might have been taken in the Busan area.
